This course was designed with the Scottish links-style in mind. The terrain varies from flat to hilly, plus water hazards (a lake and a creek) come into play on every hole but one. The greens are elevated and undulating. There is an additional set of men's tees when playing an eighteen hole round.

Timberline Golf Club purchased the old Buxahatchee course 10 years ago, added 300 acres to the site, and started from scratch to build a new 18 Hole course. Griffith Park Golf Courses - Wilson Course
"wonderful"
wonderful greens and fairways, every hole was definitely unique and fairly challenging. We were able to find an opening to play on the course on a busy day without making a reservation. Allowed us to bring a spectator, with a price of course. Played both courses and would definitely come back. The only set-back was...there wasn't a beverage cart in sight and the play was pretty slow, had to wait for other players. Overall experience was great and would recommend to others.

"Good course for the money."
Played this course a couple of times last visit to area. Was always use to paying $70 plus at other courses. Was surprised and enjoyed this course. It just goes to show that you don't have to spend big bucks to enjoy a round of golf. Will be playing this course again when I come down this spring.

"Local Hidden Gem"
This is a fine local course for working on your irons. Even as a (60 year old) senior, I seldom use more than a 5 wood here. No sand, and water barely comes into play on one hole. Drastic elevation changes on the par 3 second and third holes. Course is wide open and wind can sometimes be a factor. Great for sharpening your skills before taking on regulation courses or for a pleasant 2 to 3 hours outdoors.
