This course was designed with the Scottish links-style in mind. The terrain varies from flat to hilly, plus water hazards (a lake and a creek) come into play on every hole but one. The greens are elevated and undulating. There is an additional set of men's tees when playing an eighteen hole round.

Timberline Golf Club purchased the old Buxahatchee course 10 years ago, added 300 acres to the site, and started from scratch to build a new 18 Hole course. "quality at reasonable price"
One of the best course in the fox valley region. You pay for a membership and by the end of the summer you have played enough rounds to balance out the price. Prices are reasonable enough to allow members to bring a non-member at an affordable cost. The layout of the course challenges both right and left handed golfers.
