Very Nice Golf Course And Reasonable Price, Jul 21, 2005

This 18 Hole Course Is Very Well Taken Care Of, Narrow Fairway's, Very Fast Greens, Has A Nice Driving Range. Lots Of Water Hazards, Very Cheap For The Type Of Golf Course It Is. If You Tend To Slice The Ball Alot You Will Find Yourself In Other Fairway's On This Golf Course. Not The Golf Course You Want To Be A Beginner On.

The course is in great condition. The greens are smooth and fast, fairways are dry. Though short, the layout, bunkers, and green undulations require very accurate shots. A good short game is a must to score. For the price, an excellent deal. Great people in the pro shop too. This course has been getting better and better for years now. The only caveat would be playing right after a few days of heavy rain, some low spots collect water.

Antelope Hills Golf Course
"Diamond in the rough"
In July, 2003 I had the chance to try out this little 9 hole course and I was very satisfied with my experience. The fairways were in tremendous condition and the greens offered a perfect putting surface. We could hear the coyotes howling as we started our round in the morning. The peacefulness alone (my wife and I were the only people on the course) was worth the price of green fees. The green fees, by the way, are very reasonable. The scenery from the first tee is spectacular, especially if you glance to the west. If you're looking for a tough challenge, this isn't the course for you. The course is not too challenging but is a perfect stop if you're a beginner or coming out of Yellowstone and want to just relax on the course. It's very wide open so you shouldn't lose any balls. My wife is a beginner golfer and had a very enjoyable round. Everything is well-maintained and we found the staff to be courteous and friendly. I plan on returning to play this course again and I highly recommend you give it a try. Definitely a course to walk (not ride) to get the full enjoyment.

Valencia Country Club
"Valencia CC -- one of the finest in the U.S."
Valencia CC is a gorgeous layout and wonderful design that only gets better with maturity. This Robert Trent Jones course is a truly great test of golf. Demanding par fives and threes along with several of the finest par fours I've ever played make for a challenging and wonderful round. The 66,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with wonderful restaurant, grill room, snack bar, and great pro shop make this one of the most beautiful settings there is to play a round of golf. The practice facilities are absolutely great. This is one of the top 100 golf courses in the United States.

Pin Oaks Golf Club
"Awful"
This course is absoulutely awful. The fairways have huge rocks and bahiagrass. I would not pay money to ever play there again.

Rancho Solano Golf Course
"Plenty of Choices"
Rancho Solano presents the normal golfer a blend of narrow fairways with generous ones but the most memorable traits are indeed the greens. Being on the right level on a given green can be your ticket to a great round while being on the wrong one can ruin your day. The hilly area is well displayed as the course undulates through the Fairfield foothills and some of the views from the higher holes are outstanding.
