This suburban, links-style course is built on rolling terrain, with plenty of fescue and heather rough. The sculpted fairways provide generous landing areas, while the ample greens feature moderate undulation. Sand bunkers are located throughout the course and augment an already challenging layout. Hole #2 is a 160-yard, par 3, playing over a pond and to a well-protected, tiered green.

Great golf course for all abilities!!, Sep 05, 2004

This course is a pretty course and has holes that pose a challenge for all abilities. Greens fees include free range balls. The carts are equipped with incredible GPS, unlike any I have seen before! A must play for every golfer! They even offer discounts for 4some's. Guaranteed to have an all-around enjoyable outting!

I have never putted on such undulating greens in my life, this course gave me fits.... I had never played here so I didnt know what I was in for, really tough course if your not familiar with it.... I crushed a drive on one hole, dont rememeber which one but I thought I hit at least a 300yd drive, well I did but it landed in a pond on the other side of a sloping fairway. Never knew the the water was there.... you cant see it from the tee box... (very sneaky). just one of the great holes on this gem....if you want some putting practice, then this your course.... go for it....

Rancho Solano Golf Course
"Plenty of Choices"
Rancho Solano presents the normal golfer a blend of narrow fairways with generous ones but the most memorable traits are indeed the greens. Being on the right level on a given green can be your ticket to a great round while being on the wrong one can ruin your day. The hilly area is well displayed as the course undulates through the Fairfield foothills and some of the views from the higher holes are outstanding.
