This course was built on the rolling terrain of New Hampshire. Locals claim that this course is where the world's longest drive of 341 yards was broken during the 1998 season. Water hazards also come into play on five holes, including #5, a 190-yard, par 3, which features water on the right, and woods and the Pemi River on the left. A difficult hole on the backside is #12, a 450-yard, par 4, which plays downhill to a generous landing area, then requires a long approach shot over wetlands to the green.

Owl's Nest is a course worth seeing and playing... but once is enough. Current greens fees are $70.00/pp with cart, even on weekdays. The elevation changes range from dramatic to staggering. The front nine holes are playable... even enjoyable; but holes 12-17 direct play, literally, up one side of a mountain & down the other.

Golfable Golf Quote of the Day:
" The sport of choice for the urban poor is basketball. The sport of choice for maintenance level employees is bowling. The sport of choice for front-line workers is football. The sport of choice for supervisors is baseball. The sport of choice for middle management is tennis. The sport of choice for corporate officers is golf. Conclusion: The higher you are in the corporate structure, the smaller your balls become. -- Author Unknown "
