This course features two island greens, one on hole #7 and the other on hole #18. On hole #18, there is water that comes into play on both sides of the fairway. Altogether, the course has ponds coming into play on ten holes. There are at least six holes where water comes into play in front of the green. This is a predominantly flat course, but there are man-made hills and dunes that can cause uneven lies. There are very few trees that can affect your shots, but some of the fairways are doglegs. Mark Brooks holds the course record, scoring a sixty-six.

"Best Kept Secret In Central VA"
Of all the courses I have played through out VA I would have to say this is one of the best kept secrets in Virginia. The greens are very fast but yet they hold very well. The vista's of the mountains on the back nine are breath taking. The #17 hole could one day be as comparable to one of the holes at Augusta or the TPC Sawgrass. Its and old club with alot of history set up in a beautiful historic town! If you can get your self and invitation to play it I would highly recommend it. Keep your head down and let it rip. Bill P.

Shawnee Lookout Golf Course
"Beautiful, Scenic, Challenging, HILLLLLLYYY"
I have played this course several times when traveling to the Cincinnati area and have found this gold course to be most scenic. First few holes are easy.. but this just to draw you into the ambush of trees, hills, water and rough that lie ahead. Very fun course to play. Nestled and secluded right in the corner of where three states meet, with views of the Ohio river and Great Miami River.

"Not Bad"
I am a 16 year old boy with a very high interest in the game of golf. This webster east course is a great challenging expespriance for anyone of all ages. Now there is a catch being that I am only a 16 year old boy the greens fees are just to expensive. Now I am not saying that they should make it real cheap to play there because yes the semi-high fees do create a more civalized playing environment. But if some how there was a junior rate or some sort of way to help youngsters like myself afford to play here.It may open the doors to a whole new horizon on money making stradegies.Thanks

"Tough back nine"
The front nine is pretty straight forward, added soem distance in the last five years or so, so the couse is well over 6000 yards. Impecibly upkept, tough greens. The back nine is TOUGH more than one carry over water of over a hundred yards, elevetad greens, hilly fairways. very hard to get a flat lie on the back nine. Bring your patience to play here
