Overall the course is in excellent shape - greens were rolling very true but not holding much at all. Thanks to my friend, a memeber who invited me to play, I did NOT go after the pin but rather tried to land it about 10 yards shy. I found the staff to be very pleasant and speed of play was incredible - we finished in 3 hours and did not feel hurried or waiting at any point in time.

I am a very experienced player who really enjoyed the great conditions and excellent design of this golf course. I later found out that it is a Bill Coore design. He is considered one of the best minimalist designers working today. The members of this course are hiding a real gem in Southeast Texas.

Not a bad little course for the average golfer, challenging to anyone who is not straight. No water on the course removes that concern, but a tree-lined layout demands accuracy. Inexpensive and not overcrowded.

I've had the pleasure of playing this course many times and i never get sick of it. It is one of the most enjoyable lay-outs i have ever played. It is tough but fair and has a number of very memorable holes. Of particular note are numbers 7,10,11 and 12. Don't skip this one you won't be disappointed.
