This course is the first project for Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in the State of Indiana. The course was built on rolling terrain, so there will be some uneven lies. The fairways are fairly wide off the tee, but they narrow as you approach the green. The greens are small, undulating and fast. The signature hole is #12, a 200-yard, par 3, which has the largest green on the course. This green is very well protected by a water hazard in front, a sand bunker to the right and trees to the left. "Golf Digest" selected this course 10th on its list of "Best New Upscale Public Courses" for 1998. The course doesn't open until noon on Mondays.

"Excellent course"
This is an well-designed, well-maintained course nestled among hills and oak trees about an hour west of downtown Los Angeles. It is a Robert Trent Jones designed course, located on land that was previously Warner Ranch. Many movies were filmed on this location, and each hole is named after one of the movies filmed there. It is not long, but it is a challege. Narrow fairways, oak trees, water, fast and undulating greens. Very interesting holes and pin placements.

"Fun, yet challenging for any level golfer..."
The course will grow on you. The first time I played it, the course kicked my hind-parts. Every hole has a different look and challenge. The fairways and greens are always in great shape, even though they don't overseed in the cold months. Because the course sits high, even though it was built on wetlands, there is always wind, and therefore a challenge. The course will beckon you back time and again. Very nice play and good staff.
