This hilly course features tree-lined fairways. The greens are small, undulating and often located on hilltops, requiring a blind approach shot. Hole #15, a 296-yard, par 4, features the only dogleg fairway on the course. The sand bunkers are mostly around the greens, but some are located on the fairways. Water hazards (two lakes and a creek) come into play on three holes. The club offers discounts for seniors on weekdays before 2 PM, and a twilight rate starting after 4 PM weekdays. The ladies' par is actually 77.

Average golfer average course, Apr 06, 2009

Overall the course is Okay not great , Club house needs some updating, they are kind of stuck in the 1970's but then again that doesn't bother me and its expensive to update and then they would have to raise prices so keep it the way it is , I've had a couple of issues at times with Rangers that have the Barney Fife Syndrome but Take it with a grain of salt and get your chuckle from them after they leave. All in all the course is fun and not to expensive , I prefer Chalet Hills for just a few more dollars but have coupons and specials all the time

For all those who happened to rip on Cary Country Club I disagree greatly.. I belive for the people that are in the mid handicap divsion this is a great course to play. With grat views and a little bit of everything from teeing off on a hill and looking at great views of the course. I strongly encourage people to go out and try this course

I would only go back because it is inexpensive. Dated course, needs improvement on green placement and layout. Cart was very noisy and barely made up to the elevated greens. A little too hilly. The course itself was in good shape, the rangers were outspoken. Parking lot service was nice.

Nice Course - Take a Cart, Jul 10, 2007

Cary CC is a nice course, not in superb shape but good. The course is very hilly so it can be challanging if you are used to playing level lies. The back nine is definately the harder of the two with a spectacular elevated par 3 that you must tee off through trees over a winding creek with OB right and behind. The hole is about 175 yards!! The last three holes play longer than marked, but are truly good golf holes. I read the other review regarding the rudness of the staff, but I have always found them very friendly.

A Pleasent Change, Apr 12, 2007

CCC is a hidden gem in land of flat conventional golf courses. There are spectacular elevation changes-both elevated tees with outstanding views and hill top greens with challenging approach shots. Course is very well maintained and everyone, both staff and fellow golfers were extremely friendly and helpful. Prices are low compared to peer courses in that area. Very good value! I plan to schedule an outing there next season. They have a wonderful restaurant and bar.

Lets face it Golf isn't cheap and that is why the wives dont like the sport..but like some people said this course is unfriendly and Expesive I dare to differ. If the course doesn't have water hazards it has difficult Dogleg holes. It has holes which are up hill and downhill. As for the staff I have been playing Golf there for the past 6 yrs and I have never had a problem with them. Infact the club house is friendly. Very few golf courses provide Free Snacks like Cary CC, some complain there are not enough toilets well they need to learn how to take a leak in the bushes. The staff in the pro-store know my whole league of 45 people by our 1st names and i think that speaks for Cary CC. cant wait for next season to play there again.

Don't be swayed by a bad review of this course. Snooty snoots might not like it because it's a tad easier than neighboring golf courses, with not as much water and a forgiving tee selection. However, if you are like me, and are sporting a mid teen handicap, then you will be interested in Cary CC as you might be able to break 80 for the first time on a par 72 course. I'm a 17 handicap, and my best score ever is an 81, which I got at Cary CC. Slope/rating is lower than average, but hey, that's a relief on occasion. The staff have been nothing but overly enthusiastic about making my rounds smooth and enjoyable.

Nothing to write home about, Apr 18, 2005

Not impressed with the course at all. Facilities are non existent, so if you're looking for a refreshment or need a restroom - you better take care of it at the turn. Last minute planning was the only reason I golfed there, and I have no intention of going again.
