This course was cut out of mature woods and is located on gently sloping terrain. The greens are large, and water comes into play on nine of the eighteen holes. There are no blind shots in the design. The signature hole is #15, which is a short par 4, with a dogleg left fairway and requiring a shot over water. Due to the location of the course, wildlife such as deer, moose, wild turkey and pheasant are seen in the vicinity. "Golf Digest" selected this course 4th in the category of "Best New Affordable Courses" for 1996, and they also rated it as the 5th "Best in State" course for 1997-98. The Maine Open Championship was held here in 1996 and 1997. The John Jacobs Golf School is located on the premises.

Best course in lakes region!, Feb 22, 2004

Although there are no lake views, this course located on Sebago Lake is a wonderful course giving a real advantage to women golfers. Definitely take a cart as it "walks" quite long. Bring your bug spray and your sun screen and be prepared to play well. This can be a challenging course for the unprepared golfer.
