This course was built on rolling terrain, but it is still not too difficult to walk. The tree-lined fairways can be challenging because of all the hazards that come into play on them. In addition, the elevated greens are well protected by hazards and undulating. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on five holes, so shot accuracy is vital at certain times. The signature hole is #3, a 182-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot past water on the right and avoiding the clutches of a huge 150-year-old oak tree growing behind the green.

Great course for the average golfer. One with a handicap of 15-25 will find this a very competitive track. Water comes into play on a number of holes. Good golf course management is fairly essential. Bring all the clubs in your bag. You will need and use them.

Beautiful layout with a lot of elevation changes and fast, undulating greens. The course also winds through a lot of trees, mostly pines and oaks. First six holes are a real challenge. If you can survive these opening holes with a score that's just a few strokes over par, you may be able to recover by the end. The 15th hole is a monster from back tees, measuring almost 650 yards. Overall, bring every club in your bag.
