beautiful course places priority on accuracy, Dec 14, 2004

This course can be very exciting as well as very humbling. If you hit off of the fairway, you may be in the trees for a while. Lakes do not come into play; there is only a beautiful lake behind the fourth tee box where water can be seen. The huge evergreens throughout the course make it a beautiful place to play. It is not a particular long course - # 4 especially can be reached in two. Lastly, when I've played it, the greens have been quite slow. During the busy summer tourist months, make sure you call for a tee time or you might be waiting for a while to tee off.

"short but challenging"
while the course is very short..there are a few holes that require good ball placement or you will end up in the water..hole #2;#6;#11;#12 and #14.....good for the short game as well and for the price you can't beat it; however depending on when you go play can be sometimes very slow.

Newnan Country Club
"Tough Layout"
Beautiful layout with a lot of elevation changes and fast, undulating greens. The course also winds through a lot of trees, mostly pines and oaks. First six holes are a real challenge. If you can survive these opening holes with a score that's just a few strokes over par, you may be able to recover by the end. The 15th hole is a monster from back tees, measuring almost 650 yards. Overall, bring every club in your bag.

Sand Ridge Golf Club
"Best of Ohio"
Sand Ridge is one of the best golf courses in the country. Even though greens are not all that fast they are always in perfect condition at all times of the year and the fairways are some of the best i have ever played from. The caddie program has some of the best and friendliest caddies in the nation.
