This course is extremely popular in the Bay Area because of its wildlife and beautiful scenery. There is a creek that come into play on thirteen holes. The slightly-sloped greens are soft enough to hold your shots because they are frequently watered. In addition, a couple of the greens are two-tiered.

Better be accurate with your shots!, Jul 07, 2007 |

| Very nice easy going course in 2 quiet natural canyons. A mostly short course but you must be accurate on most holes as the creek borders the fairways on many holes. If you are a right hander that slices or pushes the ball you will have a looong day as the creek is usually on the right of the fairway. A cool and shady course with little wind to worry about. There are birdie holes but there are plenty of 'others' waiting for you if you aren't accurate with your tee shots. Beautiful setting to spend the day. |

Memorable experience, Sep 02, 2005 |

| I found the course to be somewhat challenging and even difficult on some holes. The back nine starts with a very challenging par 4 and then hits you with a series of even tougher holes. It was then I realized I had gone too far. I was in way over my head and indeed my life was in serious danger. My heart raced in anticipation of what might lie ahead. Would it be a par 3 and a return to a enjoyable round? Sadly no, that was not my fate. My life would change forever on the 13th hole. In ways I cannot describe. |

| I've not run into any rude or difficult people, although I have heard stories... I have found the course interesting with lots of water as a challange. Often there are deer prancing around and the trees and mature landscape are wonderful. I reccommend it for a good day of golf and beautiful scenery. It's not too expensive as well. |

Walken In the Park - A Caddy For The Ages, Apr 23, 2004 |
| reviewer: Hon

| I played Willow Park last month and was greeted at the first tee by none other than Christopher Walken. He approached me and asked if he could caddy for me in preparation for a movie role. I must say, he took his work quite seriously and his advice was nothing short of miraculous. "The wind is at your back," he warned me sternly on the fourth hole. "I'd use the 7." Being 195 yards from the pin i was a tad skeptical, but Walken's voice had a touch of anger this day. He wouldn't be denied his wish and I pulled the 7, as much out of fear as anything else. To make a long story short, that 7-iron produced my first ever double-eagle. As the ball rolled into the cup I turned with amazement to thank my new friend, but Christopher Walken had disappeared into the forest. To this day, I can decide if Christopher Walken is the best caddy who has ever walked the earth, but I will forever carry his spirit with me as I stride down the fairways and greens of life. |

Verbal attack, Apr 19, 2004 |

| I was verbally assaulted by a man who worked for the course because unknown to me, I was not to have my pull cart on a par three fairway. He literally yelled at me in a very angry and demeaning way. It was uncomfortable for everyone, and embarrassing for me. I didn't need to be spoken to that way to learn the rule. |

Had A Good Time!, Apr 15, 2004 |

| By the other review, you would think that this course was terrible but that guy needs to get a life! Maybe he had a bad round but that is no reason to make bad remarks about the establishment! I was treated with respect and had a wonderful time. I thought the small range was sufficient for warming up before my round! I also thought the course had a nice layout for such a reasonable price. Keep up the good work! |

Worst Golf Course EVER!, Mar 25, 2004 |
| reviewer: M. F.
from Castro Valley CA |
| I happen to live in Castro Valley and Willow Park is the closest golf course to my home. I have been golfing for almost 10 years now and I have never been treated worse than I have at Willow Park. I have went there repeatedly over the past 10 years out of convienence and after the past 4 times of going to this course I refuse to return. For a public golf course I am always treated like an outsider. The corse is always quite swampy and the driving range is poor at best. I used to go to the driving range there after work and have not returned since they told me a tee shirt was unacceptable ( I can understand on the course, or if they expected as much out of the upkeep of their range as they do out of my wardrobe). Poor course, worse range and horrible attitude. |
