This beautiful and hilly course's fairways are lined with many tall trees. The course has five well-positioned sand bunkers, three of which are around hole #5, a 391-yard, par 4. Locals consider the back nine to be harder than the front nine. Water hazards come into play on nine holes.

Hard to judge yardage and requires excellent control!, Feb 23, 2012
reviewer: Nathan from KY
I have traveled to play this course the last 5 years. It was need of serious repair last year but still a course that will break a beginner from bad shots or give up the game. The greens are very challenging if cared for. I would like to see better care given to the fairways and more grass on the greens. there is a huge need for new cart paths and I feel that too many scrambles are hurting this otherwise fun course.

Hogsback, Oct 17, 2009
reviewer: Phillip D. from Irvine, Ky.
The greens and fairways were badly deteriorated and barren even in this rainy year. Had to trade cart twice for malfunctions. Not impressed with the course, especially with the weekend fees. Joining Bellefonte or traveling to the Oaks much more enjoyable. The Owner was not welcoming upon arriving. Felt as if we were intruding.

Long Course?, Mar 10, 2009

It's 6,000 yards from the blue tees! It is well maintained, tight and somewhat scenic, but long it is not.

This course is not long in my opinion, but it is sweet. Hilly and challenging with some soft, true greens. Well maintained plus a nice staff and great prices.

Its a course like no other. Built into the woods and hill you really feel like your playing golf alone. It's a long course but well worth it.
