This course has diverse greens; some are fast and large, while others are small and slow. There are some challenging par 3's that can really test your long iron abilities. The course has water hazards that come into play at least seven times, and many of the trees can alter your shots.

I love Indian Mound. This is my favorite golf course. The front nine is fairly flat, with several holes centered on a lake, including a very challenging Par 3. The back nine gets much tougher with a series of mountain holes. You don't want to walk, but greens fees and cart rental are reasonably priced, with good evening deals. Check it out! Plsu, you can see a real Indian Mound.

Triggs Memorial Golf Course
"Donald Ross Design at Public Rates"
Triggs is a good course, a tough layout from the back tees. Donald Ross designed Muni gets a lot of play and is a little rough around the edges, but a great test of golf. Played there for years before I relocated South.

Although part of it will soon be bulldozed for a car dealership, I highly reccomend getting there while it's still a full 18 holes! Some holes are lacking in creativity, but quite a few give tricky shots over bunkers, mounded terrain, and alongside the Hockanum River. It's relatively affordable, and a fun way to kill an hour and a half or so.
