This nine hole course is great for beginners and seniors. The fairways are generous, and the greens are small and medium speed. No water comes into play, but there are sand bunkers positioned throughout the course. The terrain is flat and easy to walk. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

| the course in in terrible shape and hasn't been maintained in a very long time. It is a waste of time when you could go to a much nicer place for not much more. plus they aren't that friendly |

| This was a fun course. Not to difficult, but it keeps your interest. I walked on about 3:30 p.m. by myself and right away I joined a threesome. The greens fee was nine dollars. |

| Gull Haven, a public golf course of the Town of Islip, NY, is an excellent course for beginners. The course will still be enough of a challenge to bring intermediate and veteran golfers as well. The course is 9 holes. 7 out of 9 greens are of level grade, and are generally easy to read. There is one long Par 5, and two Par 3s. Obstacles and traps aren't too ridiculous. In some small spots, they are rehabilitating the course, but most of the course is in good shape, including tee boxes. Most people I've talked to enjoy it as a nice simple course to have a good round and practice their game. There are two other Town of Islip courses, which will be more challenging: Brentwood Country Club, and Holbrook Country Club. I have found Gull Haven Golf Club to be a wonderful way to learn the skill and ettiquette of golf. |

| gull haven is an enjoyable course that i have played many a time. i would have to rank it among my favorites because of the demeanor of the course and club and the fact that this is a great learning ground. |
