Constructed along the western shore of Lake Templene, Michigan by Raymod Hearn Golf Designs, this course has long, tree-lined fairways that wind through wetland areas to large, well defended greens. Six tee boxes offer a challenge to the experienced golfer, and variety to the novice. Holes 14 through 18 are considered to be the course signature holes, as golfers must shoot onto a 40 acre island in order to reach them. Once there, the golfer is greeted by elevated tees, and large, sloping greens. Care must be taken to avoid the water that borders a good portion of each of the last five holes. The club has installed the Pro Shot Golf GPS system in all carts, and will be accepting tee times via their web site in mid 2001.

I played here twice so far. The fairways were in pretty good shape. They recently hired a new superintendent from Charlotte National (Dino) who produces some of the best greens in Charlotte. With a little time, he will have those greens rolling right. He has already started re-doing all the bunkers. Some walks from green to the next tee would be impossible to make. It has some beautiful holes. Most bunkers did not have enough sand in them, but they're being re-worked now with some getting all new drainage and sand and some being filled in as grass bunkers. This will make it a fairer course.

"Fun little course"
This is a great course to learn for kids, they have a good teaching staff that offers camps clinics and private lessons. My kids have all participated in them and have learned alot about life skills both on and off the course.

"Pleasent Golf"
This is a fun course with just the right amount of challenge. Pretty with the lakes and trees It plays reasonably fast, about 2 hours. The greens could be a little better, but they don't burn out in the summer. Cost is reasonable for the area and condition.
