This course features mounded greens that slope toward the fairways. The flat fairways typically play straightaway and are heavily lined by mature tamarisk and 320 palm trees. The Senior State Tournament is held here at the beginning of the season. Nine hole rates aren't available at this course. Red Lawrence redesigned the course in 1963.

Chalet Hills Golf Club
"Challenging but Fair"
If you play the course right you will have to use every club in your bag. Variety of holes, no two are alike. Trees, bunkers, water, doglegs and hills, this course has it all. Beginners with a wild driver will have some trouble but will not have to hit over obstacles except for two greens surrounded by water. Staff is great and course is getting in better shape each year.

"Hidden gem of the midlands"
Fast greens, Plush fairways, challenging layout. Not as open as it looks. The course was redone from tee to green about a year ago. This course will play like a 5 star course when the renovations mature. Best little course in the midlands. Friendly staff. Friendly members. Worth the money to join. Worth the money to play.

Kingswood Golf Course
"The Gem of Mason, Ohio"
As an average golfer, and to all other average golfers out there, including beginners, this course will challenge you. Its affordable prices, no wait, and well kept greens(year around)will keep you coming back for more. I here 2004 is the final season for Kingswood, so get out to play this course.

Newman Municipal Golf Course
"Age Makes A Difference"
Newman Golf Course has been available to me for many years. Unfortunately, as I continue to age, it becomes more difficult. Number #1 fairway is a killer. Shouldn't a killer fairway be placed farther along? In any case, the course is senic and friendly. There is no other course around that is located right next to Cayuga Lake. You can watch the sailboats and power boats go by and then missing a good hit doesn't hurt.
