This eighteen hole executive course is traditional in design and features a slight mixture of desert-style holes. A majority of the holes have grass from tee to green. The greens are average in size and have heavy undulation. The fairways are tight. Seedling trees are prevalent on the fairways, but due to their immaturity, they do not present a problem. The signature hole is #17, a 143-yard, par 3, which requires a tee shot over a flat face of rocks in front of the green.

Best short course around, Jun 30, 2004

Springfield Golf course was fun and difficult at the same time. Now when I think of short course I think of boring. But Springfield played alot longer than it says on the card. I enjoyed it because I could play a fast round of golf at a good price and it challenged me.

"Enjoyable Round"
It is an average length course, but enjoyable. The fescue around the bunkers gives the course a nice look. There are some intersting holes such as one with a 2 tiered green right in front to make for a tough second shot from only around 60 yards. Some water but overall its fun and if you have the chance to play there do so.

"local and enjoyable"
Although an older course it has improved with age and with the rainy season last year (2002) the greens are fuller. A range is available and I try to get the most of my short game with the putting green. The back nine brings you up next to the airport but the single engine planes are not loud and are enjoyable to watch landing as your partner tries to keep up your great shot.

This is one of the great old valley courses. Ancient oaks line the fairways kept to Championship standards. This is a must-play for all golfers in the immediate area. The price is ideal, the employees are pleasant, and the course is challenging and fair.
