Vastly Improved, Oct 17, 2011
reviewer: AC from Chapin, SC
Timberlake has improved so much since the residents took over ownership. After a month of ample rain, fairways are lush and greens are right in Fall of 2011. The track has always been a great layout and seems restored to her glory days. I've heard complaints from more than one member about bogus fees. In my opinion this club could draw members from all over outlying region if their membership pricing was more reasonable.

A tough tract you don't want to miss!, Sep 06, 2005
reviewer: M Weaver from Louisville, KY
I played this course last weekend and am blown away by the improvements and the condition. The new owners have done an impeccable job sprucing up and manicuring this TOUGH layout. From the Gold tees, it's all you can handle. From the White tees, it is a very fair shotmaker's course. The greens are in fantastic condition and very true. If you are in or around Columbia, THIS IS A MUST PLAY!

Nice Lakeside Course, Oct 13, 2004
reviewer: Avid Golfer from Columbia, SC
Very nice Willard Bird design that was ruined by Lynn and Lewis Young. They should have left and maintained the bent grass greens and kept the course up while they owned it. What a shame! New owners trying hard but have a lot of work to still complete. You should call before traveling to play this course to see what condition it is in. Condition can change from week to week but should be back to a very good course by the end of 2005. I give it three stars for layout and lake side location. Hope to raise the rating later next year.
