The price is right!, Feb 28, 2006 |

| I have been golfing for more than 12 years now and have recently move to Charleston. Last week I played the municipal course and found that it is just the right price, as long as you don't mind a nice walk. We played in mid February and the tee boxes and greens were in great shape for the season. It had been raining for two and a half days and there was not a spot of soggy grass on any of the greens. If you are looking to spend less than 20 bucks there is no better place to play in the Charleson area. |

| I just moved to Chucktown and the only other course I played was Shadowmoss, which was impressive and a good bargain at $25 (incl cart). Eventhough this course has a published price of $20, the greens fees are only $15 for city residents; however, they charge another 15 for a cart. This brings the total for a two some to $60. Which wouldn't be too bad if the course weren't half BOG. It hadn't raind for several days and there was still standing water on the Fairways and carts were restricted to the cart path (to prevent sinking). Besides the danger of the traffic crossing Maybank highway (at least the underground passage kept us safe from a second crossing. All in all an unpleasant experience. |

| The Muni is a place to play for less than $20, drink beer and get drunk, and not worry about a thing. Don't come here to play if you're looking for a good or challenging course. A little advice from someone who lives in Charleston. |

Not worth the price., Jul 06, 2005 |

| I visited Charleston after a significant amount of rainfall. I settled for playing at the city's municipal golf course, but had to pay the unreasonable $35 out-of-towner price. The course had standing water everywhere - including fairways. There was a temporary green in place on #6 and #14 was closed for construction. None of those issues resulted in a lowering of the price. The course was boring and soggy. Several times you have to cross oncoming traffic in your golf cart. Basically, a bad experience all around. Patriot's Point is slightly more expensive, but it is 1000 times more enjoyable. |

Not Charleston's Best, Apr 28, 2004 |

| This is an OLD city course with little drainage and irrigation. Greens are fairly consistent, but slow. No dress code at all - which is a bad thing from my perspective. If you are visiting Charleston, pay an extra $20-25 and play Stono Ferry. |
