This course offers many scenic views of Lake Michigan. The fairways are mostly flat, but there is some mounding that can cause uneven lies. Some of the tees are elevated. The greens are well bunkered and undulating. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on three holes. One of the nice characteristics of this facility is that the club employees will take your clubs to and from your car. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 6th "Best in State" course 1995-96, and the 5th best in 1992. The same publication also awarded it 44th among the "Top 75 Upscale Courses" for 1996.

| We played this course last sat 6/12/04 and we were very surprised by what we found. To start off with, the course was not in very good shape. There were ant hills in the fairways, weeds and grass growing in the sand bunkers, and multiple place where construction was going on. The course was tough...unreasonably so in our opinion. For the $ there are a lot more enjoyable courss to play in the area |
