This course was built on rolling terrain and has water hazards that come into play on eleven holes. The greens are large and fast. The signature hole is #18, a par 5, with a dogleg right fairway that requires you to play from alongside a lake and shoot to a long, narrow green.

I really enjoyed this course. It is the nicest public facility in the Charlotte Metro Area and I've played them all.

This is a very difficult, challenging public course in a neighborhood in north Charlotte, NC. Lot's of water and a number of carry shots -You will need every club in your bag to score well here - Signature hole is #18 - Tee shot across lake - Catch it right and your a mid/short iron to an eagle try.

Griffith Park Golf Courses - Wilson Course
"wonderful"
wonderful greens and fairways, every hole was definitely unique and fairly challenging. We were able to find an opening to play on the course on a busy day without making a reservation. Allowed us to bring a spectator, with a price of course. Played both courses and would definitely come back. The only set-back was...there wasn't a beverage cart in sight and the play was pretty slow, had to wait for other players. Overall experience was great and would recommend to others.

Hyde Park Golf Club
"Wide Open Drive"
Fairly well kept course, the fairways are wide open for the most psrt, so if you lose your new Titlest, its your fault...There are a few water hazards in challengable spots. Bunkers are all easily avoidable. This is actually a challenging course, but one that wont drive you nuts with every stroke. Its also a pretty good course for those who arent, Arnold Palmer. You have to know your game, but it allows for mistakes, without costing you 3 strokes. The trees are beautiful, and the wildlife around the course adds to the experience. Its nice to find a place like this tucked among the city, and tall radio towers, which are right in the middle of the course, between holes nine and ten, which is the primary problem spot for this course. Its priced right, and a good challenge for the money.

Highlands Ridge
"Hidden Gem"
Played South @ North Courses. South is short but challenging. Very enjoyable. Lots of character. Great condition. Flowers everywhere. North Course is a newly opened(2003) exceptional layout. Both courses are well worth the trip. You won't be disappointed.

Candler Park Golf Course
"Good for its purpose"
Don't expect great things.. but if you just want to get in a quick 9 holes of knocking the ball around, this is cheap, convenient and fun. My girlfriend and I played on Sunday for $20 total.
