Some of the main difficulties on this course come as a result of the water hazards. There are approximately three water hazards on every hole. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are fast. This course's back nine is dominated by large rolling hills, and the whole course is dotted with various sand bunkers and grass bunkers. The 6,413-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 72.7 and a slope of 132.

Wow, what a great(nice club house) golf course. The average golfer will have some trouble here but the better golfer should be able to handle this course. Fronk 9 has 3 par 3 holes, Back 9 is long and tricky. PS no caddies here

Not for the inexperienced golfer. A long course with long par 3's all over water. The front nine is short, but the back nine is extremely long. After the renovations are done, this will be a golf course not to be passed.

Ponderosa Pines Golf Course
"Sweet Little Nine-Holer!"
I have enjoyed this course for over 10 years. It seems to be a well-kept secret, however. The owner of the course and his wife are the finest folks you will ever meet. Although the course is short, it is demanding. You must place your shots very well in order to shoot a good round. Stop by and say hello to the nice folks that own and run the course.

Nisqually Valley Golf Course
"A good winter course"
This is a good course for golfers who can have fun without elaborate amenities. Practice facilites are minimal as is the proshop. The main assets are: golf value per dollar (great senior rates), minimal paved golf car paths so a ball is seldom scuffed and ricocheted to bad places, playability through the winter as the drainage is good because only minimal grading was done during construction. Walking is easy as there are only three areas that rise 20 or thirty feet. There are some nice oak tree framed views of Mt. Rainier. On approximately 90 acres this is, consequently, a very compact course with fairways side by side, so be alert to the call of "fore" and protect yourself. You should not hesitate to yell when you strike one out of your fairway.

"Good, small course"
If you only want to play nine holes for an affordable price, this is where you want to play. Nice par fives and not really any bad holes. Some are short but the course is very hilly, an easy yet challenging course.

the course is pretty straight-forward and non-descipt. longer than most munis from the tips with ok green maintainence. can get pretty windy since it is wide open to the bay. commuter planes can be a nuisance. just not very exciting.
