This championship course has out-of-bounds stakes lining five holes and water hazards coming into play on six others. Some of the fairways and most of the greens are well-bunkered. A couple of holes were renovated in 1996. The course was ranked as one of the top ten most difficult courses in the state by "Golf Digest" magazine.

This is not a country club, easy-does-it style golf course. Most holes demand that you keep it in the fairway--woods, brush, bunkers and water surround just about every hole, and if you are not careful, doubles will come very quickly. Because it was built on a landfill, it is also very hilly, meaning that most holes you are hitting a blind second shot. This course is not for the faint of heart. A very pleasant surprise.

Golf Club at Cimarron Trails, The

Cimarron Trails is one of the most challenging and exciting courses I have played in my lifetime of golfing. I would recommend this course to any serious and/or just weekend golfers. The first minte entering the spetacular and spacious clubhouse you get a feeling of something special happening. It smells like golf and it is golf incarnate. Nice place. Course O.K. My dad played here allot in the 70's, says he couldn't believe they built homes in it! (he used to live in Sunnydale, next to it.)Only thing I could "complain" about is the skimpy parking lot! Clubhouse was real nice, and the gentleman I spoke to there, (I believe his name was Bob) was very Knowledgable.

"Greens Can Be Fast Without Being Like Concrete"
Take this course to Scotland where it belongs. Whomever is the greenskeeper here needs a bit of elementary training in the concept of WATER. Greens can be fast without being unreceptive to a golfball. It is rediculous when a topped 4-iron produces a better result than a high, spinning wedge. It is a well-designed course, but you just can't hide the pins behind bunkers when the golfer has no chance of holding the green. It is just plain goofy golf. To watch fairly accomplished players putt from 20 yards off the green is just too bad.
