This club has two regulation eighteen hole courses. The Lake Course is more wide open than the Hill Course. A difficult shot is needed on hole #6, a 145-yard, par 3, requiring a carry over water to a well-bunkered green. The Hill Course is heavily wooded and features narrower fairways and larger greens that aren't as sloping as the ones on the Lake Course. Hole #3, a 374-yard, par 4, has both trees and water down the left side of the fairway to avoid. Donald Ross designed the back nine and redesigned the existing holes on the Lake Course in 1921, and X. G. Hassenplug then redesigned all eighteen in 1980.

"A beautiful midwest course worth playing"
This course looks timid on paper but watch out on the front nine. A couple of par 5's can really fool you by their degree of difficulty and a snowman is not uncommon on #6. The course is usually in immaculate shape with more hills on the back 9 that you would expect. The shortest par 3 I've ever played, #16 can be tricky even with the softest loft wedge. Overall this coursees beauty is in the top 10 in northwest ohio, and it is great fun to play given that you can find a member to take you out and enjoy it.

This course is fairly tight with large greens that are exquisite. They roll very well and are extremely undulating....making for putting challenges. Even though the length is about 6200 yds from the back tees, it plays a lot longer than that due to the hills, large greens, and abundant sand.
