This course is more than 100 years old. The greens are small and fast, and the tree-lined fairways are narrow. There is a water-filled ditch on every hole. This club was originally founded in 1892 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. It was also recognized in "GOLF Magazine's" 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

I really like this course, tough, but fun. The first and second par 5's are long. It is only nine holes but it is fun to get in a quick round of nine. The club house is amazing now that they redid it.

"Good Course at a fair price,"
The course is decent in upkeep, not the greatest greens but a nice and challenging course at times with greens protected by bunkers in touch positions. Course management is a little on the off side, they have no control over how many are on the course, and will load it up way past capacity, as well as never using any marshalling to speed up play. Weekdays are good times to play because of the lessened Traffic

"Fun"
this is a very fun and interesting par 3 course. True it isn't challenging, longest is 135 yards I believe. It has helped me with my short game a ton, and I apply it to real courses. It's in very nice condition, even though your tee box is a mat, it is still possible to have fun on it. It goes by pretty fast, and passes along 20 tennis courts, and the LA River. Lots of residential area arouend the coure with nice palm trees, making it more relaxable.There are also many famous people there, and it's cheap to play. Over all..........I LOVE THIS COURSE

Having been a golfer for almost 20 years I have experienced a lot of cow pastures public courses. This course has been newly renovated and made some dramatic improvements making it both challanging and enjoyable.
