This course was design to play through a heavily-wooded area. Water hazards come into play on five holes, so shot accuracy is essential. The greens are cut very short, making them fast and hard to read. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. Senior discounts are only given on Thursdays.

A little terror, Feb 23, 2005

I grew up playing this course and so did the trees on this tight course. Trouble can be found on every hole with well placed water, out of bounds and pine trees that reach out and grab you. This has the character of its age being started in 1910 with compact acreage with small greens. Hit your drives straight, you can score well. Hit them bad and it can be a long day. I play about 50 different courses a year all over the country and for 2 out of the last 5 years I had my worst score at the "Chet".I'll play it at least once a year even though I live in Harrisburg, Pa. You got to try this little gem.

Best 9 hole course you'll find, Apr 19, 2004

This course places a premium on accuracy off the the tee. With every hole you are faced with dense trees on each side of the fairway. The overhanging pines make a misplaced drive a very danting task. This scenic course along the banks of the Susquehanna river will put all of your skills to the test. The course is very well maintained and will keep you coming back for more.

TimberStone Golf Course
"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.

Riverside is my favorite of all courses that I have golfed. Golf is a laid back and fun pastime. I fell in love with the game at Riverside. If you are in the neighborhood you should definately play a round.

golf at raymondville g&cc, is truly an unforgettable experience. the greens are well watered and the bent grass is excellent.there are many challenging holes., the first tee to green is a whopping par 5.with water about 180 yds left.towering trees protect right side, so u must hit a high drive to clear trees. then u have decent chance to get a birdie.7,8 and 9 are long long drives. clubhouse is fantastic

Welcome to the new Miacomet!! Complete with 9 new golf holes capturing the essence of links golf. This Massachusetts island has a new name in public golf. This new layout if the wind is blowing is going to be a real challenge. The elevated tees give you a great look at fairway and positioning. The trick is to hit it there with the accuracy needed to conquer a 20 to 30 mile an hour wind. The golf staff were very professional in the running of the shop. Superb lessons provided by Mike's staff. State of the art lessons with Rob. Fantastic!! Bill Affinito's group are learning the paths and new roads that service the new course. Great job. And the new general manager, Alan Costa, fantastic, hard working, creative. The food service is top notch. come try the new course on Nantucket.
