This tree-lined course sits alongside the Des Plaines River and was built on rolling hills, so you can expect many uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on a couple of holes, and numerous sand bunkers have been positioned throughout the course. The signature hole is #8, a 130-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to the green. The course was redesigned by Dick Nugent.

Good starter 18 hole course, Jun 29, 2008

If you are a beginning golfer, this course is great. Wide open fairways will help you, and only a few holes where you have definite problems on the sides. I used to play this course about 8 times a year. Not any more. They have dumped a lot of improvements to the course, but jacked up the price. If you compare it to other courses at the same price, you are getting an inferior product. Not to mention that there are a bunch of crusty old timers who are incredibly slow, don't know "ready golf" and the round takes forever and ever to complete. I like the fact that you can wear whatever to the course, and that I almost always see some deer on the course during my round. The bitter old men on the course make me want to play this course as a last resort. Also, if it is rainy, there are no cart paths, so you can still ride to your ball.

Indian Boundary golf course is a very good and at the same time a very forgiving golf course. I would highly recommend it to any golfer in the chicago area.

"Childhood Hole in One"
I got my hole-one-on the par-3 7th. Its the kind of hole that it could happen any day to any of us. And hey, thats gotta be worth something!!! The green is two tiered and the top tier is hard to stay on, the ball likes to role down to the bottom, always where the pin is. You tee off from above, the hole is about 120 yrds I think. So, get it on the green, watch it role and you've got yourself a chance my friend! Overall, the course is a 9 holer and its fun. Golf period...is fun, come on right.

Ridge Country Club
"Ridge C.C. Review"
Ridge may not be a very long course, its only 6200 from the tips but its tricky. All of the holes are very narrow making accuracy important. Also, most of the greens are tiny and very difficult to hold because they are the fastest greens on the south side of Chicago. The course superintendent, Gary Galecki, deserves a lot of credit because the course is not just in good shape, its immaculate. This course is a treat for any golfer regardless of skill level.
