This shotmaker's course has fairly narrow fairways that are lined with trees and a standard cut of rough. The course was built on the very hilly terrain around the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are numerous sand bunkers on the course, and water hazards come into play on several holes. The somewhat sloped greens are average in size and speed.

Round Meadow is a challenging course with sloped greens, lots of water hazards and hillside fairways. First time players on the course will probably hate it. However, once you've played it and if you go back again, you will find it an entertaining course with lots of challenges.

Sandpiper Golf & Country Club
"Nice change of pace"
This course is a nice change of pace. I have played it every year for the last 5 years for a total of about 15 rounds. The water was way down for a few years and when it was the course was not very nice to look at. Greens are small and challenging. The course is fun to play and reasonably tough. Having a sand trap in the middle of a green is flat out stupid. That hole (# 15) is definately my least favorite hole. The par five # 14 along the road seems to always be in bad shape. Outside of holes #4 , #14 and #15 I like the course .

Lake Shore Golf Course
"Lakeshore"
This is one of the most fantastic short courses I have played in a long time. The changes made in the past few years have really made the most out of the space the course has to work with. The holes that resemble the ones from the old course are improved, and the brand new holes make the course much more challenging. The staff is spectacular, in particular the head professional. He did an excellent job organizing our outing. We will definitely be back in the future.
