This very scenic course is perched on a hill between two reservoirs. The greens are small, and the fairways get narrower as you draw nearer to the finishing holes. This is one of seven Cincinnati municipal courses.

| I played this course for many years and enjoyed it. There had been a number of improvements that made some holes much more of a challenge (e.g., #16). My recent visit to this course was a big disappointment. My issues: too many trees, poor maintenance of the fairways and greens and no interest in managing the speed of play. I don't mind trees, but the course has too many, and they have the effect of not allowing air to circulate, so the course does not dry out. Fairways and greens looked as if they had not been mowed in days, and the greens must have stimped out at about 5. It took us 5 hours to play, including three hours on the second nine. No excuse for this type of play. I used to like California, and kept my handicap there, but it will take a lot for me to go back... |
