This facility has an eighteen hole regulation course and a nine hole course. The Glenview Course, originally designed by Arthur Hills in 1970, has been redesigned by Mike Hurdzan and opened for play in June of 1994. During the process of the course's redesign, nine new holes were added. Today, the Glenview Course features gently rolling terrain which places a premium on shot accuracy off the tee. The greens are heavily undulating and difficult to read. Water hazards come into play on five holes. The signature hole is #16, a 215-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to the green. The East Course has water coming into play on two holes. The most difficult hole is #3, a 225-yard, par 3, requiring a straightaway tee shot. These are two of the seven Cincinnati municipal courses. Great Muni, Mar 09, 2004

We have three foresomes that play 90% of the time at Glenview. Each of the three nines have their own character. Course is a great challenge from either the Blues or the Tips. Course maintenance good considering the number of rounds played.

"My first course"
I grew up playing MCC. The main criticism of the track has always been that you never get a flat lie, which is often enough true, but a weak criticism nonetheless. When typically fast the greens are challenging (hint: everything breaks toward the ocean); on #13, if you don't keep it below the hole, any putt you don't sink will wind up all the way at the bottom. The course favors a longer driver, and offers plenty of challenge and opportunity for creativity. And you can't beat the view of the Pacific.

I have to admit that I have been a charter member since it opened about 5 years ago. It is a very pretty course and the greens and fairways are maintained in excellent condition. Indeed you can use every club in your bag during an 18 hole round. Fairways range from relatively flat to uphill or down hill. The greens are some what undulating such that an approach shot or chip close to the pin is rewarded while a shot further away typically will require at least a two put to get it in. So far a few sand traps have been installed with probably more to come. During the peak season the tees suffer some what from heavy member play and frequent tournaments. The restaurant has excellent meals especially on Friday and Saturday nights or for booked events. The staff are very friendly and ready and willing to assist in any way they can. The carts have GPS locator systems built into them (the 1st. in Central New York I believe) which enable you to electronically record your score, know your yardage at all times from the cart to the pin, and even to order refreshments at the turn. Try out the course. You will be pleasantly surprised.
