Great short course- iffy staff attitude, Aug 05, 2007

For the past 10 years in Cinci ML has been one of my favorites. At least twice/month I'd get there at 7 and finish up by 8:30AM. Recently it's gotten worse with greenskeepers mowing while I wait on the tee or waiting for my approach shot. Last week I arrived and 7 and was told they couldn't let anyone off till 7:30AM. As SOON as they unlocked the doors I went in and paid my green fees. When I got to the tee box I found that an EMPLOYEE and his buddy were given "honors" on the tee and I had to wait 15 minutes while they putzed around the green! Between they're slowing me down and greenskeepers making me wait my normal 1.5 hour 9 hole became 2+ hours! Who's more important the course employees or the paying customer!

I am now 14 years old and on my school's golf team. This course is where I learned to play the game. It is great for golfers of all ages and challenges golfers of all abilities. Need help with your swing? Ask for Bob or Joel for lessons. They'll take care of you.

Stone Oak Country Club
"A beautiful midwest course worth playing"
This course looks timid on paper but watch out on the front nine. A couple of par 5's can really fool you by their degree of difficulty and a snowman is not uncommon on #6. The course is usually in immaculate shape with more hills on the back 9 that you would expect. The shortest par 3 I've ever played, #16 can be tricky even with the softest loft wedge. Overall this coursees beauty is in the top 10 in northwest ohio, and it is great fun to play given that you can find a member to take you out and enjoy it.

Eagle Ridge Golf Club
"Toughest course I've ever played."
I live in Arizona and I've played golf on many courses and Eagle Ridge gave me the most bang for my buck. Challenging holes, beautiful scenery, and reasonable prices. I'd reccommend this course to seasoned golfers, beginners may have trouble with some of the bunkering and forced carries but nobody said golf was fair. Pull out the big stick and let it rip in Gilroy. Don't forget to say hello to Uncle Frank.

Dayton Valley Country Club
"A Real Golf Course, Open All Year."
DVGC is a real test of golf. All the holes are fair and require you to hit shots. 7-9 and 16-18 are some of the toughest closing holes around this area. There are plenty of birdie opportunities if you are on your game, there are also plenty of water hazards if you are off your game. It has been known to blow a little in the afternoon, so play as early in the day as possible. Dayton Valley is a fantastic course with a terrific staff.
