This picturesque course is kept in excellent condition. Locals are proud of the way their course has been designed. The fairways are narrow, and the fast greens are well bunkered. The course is open to the public from October to April, weather permitting.

| i. The course has been rerated 136 slope from the Blue tees. 2. Several holes have been redesigned. 3. The club is no longer open to the public in the spring and fall. Which is a shame. 4. Although not long the narrow fairways which all seem to be about 20 - 25 yeards wide in the landing area and the small undulating pre WWII greens make shot placement at a premium. Expect to shoot above your handicap by 3 -5 shots. The club house has been totally remodeled. All in all a great track that will test you skill. |

Short but challenging, May 13, 2004 |

| CG&CC is a challenging course (slope 133) not because of its length (only a bit over 6,200 yards from the back tees) but because it is tight requiring accurate tee shots. In addition, the greens are small, fast and undulating so you need to hit precise approach shots and be a solid putter. In fact, this course is one where the "golfer" as opposed to the "big hitter" can shine and let the big hitters "reload". |
