This course seems to lay out in front of you, but can really be a pain to play. It sits in a valley that constantly has differing wind patterns... you may come down one hole with the wind behind you and the next (in the same direction) it's in your face. What makes this course difficult is the trees and elevation change and if you're not one for course management while playing watch out. Holes six and twelve are a pain with water and doglegs. Fourteen seems inviting but check your ego prior to the drive... very long hole.

North Shore Country Club
"Great Bay Side Holes, and Tough"
Play this in the wind and you'll find your handicap is a little too low. Northshore is a wonderful course with great bay views on the 4 bayside holes. And Don't miss the gator on hole 12, the cormorants on number 3, or all the other birds during the migratory months. In winter the rye overseed makes Northshore one of the best courses in all of South Texas.

Pine Creek Golf Course
"Golfing guru makes spectacular analysis"
There are too many geese deficating on the fairways. Plus I found there to be only one hole per green. This proves to be much too challenging for novice golfers such as myself. Multiple holes and flags on each green would be a great improvement to your facility. Are the ponds really necessary? By filling them in with dirt it would provide golfers with more hitting surfaces. One tree per hole will suffice, too many trees takes the fun out of the game. Another suggestion would be to eliminate ob and thin all grass. Sand was much too sandy and loose. Doing away with the sand would draw more golfers with superior skills such as myself.

La Vista Golf Course
"New Name for La Vista Golf Course"
The new name for La Vista Golf Course in Wichita Falls, Texas is HAWK RIDGE GOLF COURSE. This course has undergone extensive improvements the last year and one half. The improvements made have made this into one of the best courses in this area. While I rated it as 3 stars, it could very well be on its way to being rated much higher.
