This course is best known for its open fairways and small greens. Since the course is surrounded by mountains, you can expect some very scenic vistas. A lake comes into play on at least two holes. The signature hole is #13, a 422-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg left fairway. Spiked golf shoes are mandatory when playing this course.

Excellent, well-kept golf course, Sep 03, 2004

This is a truly excellent course at a remarkable price. The fairways and greens are kept in superb condition and the walking rate for a non-member is only about $25. There is a three hole stretch on the back nine of some of the most challenging holes including the 12th hole par 4 of approximately 450 yards. Many holes have a beautiful view with teh Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. Even though I live approximately 2.5 hours from ths great course, I make the trip down at least once per month because for the quality of golf, you truly cannot beat the price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

"Nice, playable course"
This is a nice playable course. Not overpowering in length, it is a good fit for both long and short hitters. I played in February and the course was in excellent shape considering the time of year. Greens rolled nice and true. Staff was friendly.

Querbes Park Golf Course
"Fun course... worth playing at least once"
It's a decent course. For the price, it's very good. That's why I'm giving it 3 stars. $14 is cheap for 18 holes of golf. Many of the greens are strangely small. Too small in some cases. Although, since many holes are very short, the small greens make them harder, which is good. No real bunkers. There are some strange dug up pits with sand in them, but they look like an afterthought. I wish they did the bunkers correctly, or just completely left them out. There are a few very fun holes on back-9. I recommend playing the course at least once. I did play the course during winter so the greens weren't too great, but it's understandale in February. I will definately play there more in the spring when conditions will be better. Especially being a college student, I'm all for the price.
