Nice course for beginners, May 24, 2004

This is pretty nice course for people who are at the beginner/intermediate level or for people who want to work on their short game. The price is right and you can squeeze in 9 holes in a short period of time. We like to hit this course for a "quickie" on weeknights :) Although the course is primarily made of par 3's, you can pull out a 3 or 5 wood for a little fun on the 2, 5, and 7 holes. The greens aren't always the best, but then again, it *is* a public course ;-) Being a beginner myself, I'd like to add that this is a nice course to play without the pressure that you get when playing at nicer courses.

Sandpiper Golf & Country Club
"Nice change of pace"
This course is a nice change of pace. I have played it every year for the last 5 years for a total of about 15 rounds. The water was way down for a few years and when it was the course was not very nice to look at. Greens are small and challenging. The course is fun to play and reasonably tough. Having a sand trap in the middle of a green is flat out stupid. That hole (# 15) is definately my least favorite hole. The par five # 14 along the road seems to always be in bad shape. Outside of holes #4 , #14 and #15 I like the course .

Oakdale Country Club
"Wow........"
I have a membership at Oakdale and let me tell you, it's worth it. The courses rolling hills and steep inclines make it a tough challenge. The bunkers and the water hazards are also huge barriers to overcome on this course. You can't beat the price either. My membership paid for itself in a matter of weeks and after that I was practically playing for free. I strongly advise anyone that wants an enjoyable round of golf to check out Oakdale Country Club.

"Best Par 3 Course Ever"
It really makes you work on your short game. If you need help with your wedges this is the place to be. There are some really long par 3 holes up to 200 yards. It is deep in the woods and has some narrow fairways. I give it 5 stars for being challenging and fun.

"CCI is a great experience"
This is a great little course, with spectacular service, and subtle course designs that will keep your mind engaged, but will allow you to enjoy the peacefulness this sport provides. The grounds crew is continually trying to improve the courses conditions, and the golfers experiences as he/she works their way around to their best round ever.
