This regulation course was built on rolling terrain and it has narrow fairways. The greens are average-sized, moderately undulating and some are quite sloped. There are several sand bunkers incorporated into the course design, and water comes into play on five holes. The most difficult hole is #14, a 391-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot off a hill to a valley landing area, then an approach shot over a lake to the green.

terrible greens, Sep 27, 2010

The greens had what to look like tractor tire marks on them which made it impossible to putt. The greens also had weeds growing in them, and are as hard as cement (in certain spots). The sand traps are full of weeds. A bottle of roundup would solve that. The course has gone down hill in a hurry.

Excellant layout, very consistant greens even though they are a bit slow. people working in the club house are first rate and you will have a hard time finding better. Must play in the third Thursday scramble. Lots of fun. Course is NOT overpriced. I will recommend this course to anyone asking.

"Nice, playable course"
This is a nice playable course. Not overpowering in length, it is a good fit for both long and short hitters. I played in February and the course was in excellent shape considering the time of year. Greens rolled nice and true. Staff was friendly.

Raceway Golf Club
"a weekend player"
I have been playing this course for 20 years and the course is so improved and impeccable the last time I played which was last August, full irragation and watering systems that have been in full use for about 5 years now have greatly improved the play also paved cart paths and new and completely changed layouts are a real challenge. I and my friends always enjoy a day at the Raceway, it ends with a great meal in the Raceway Restaurant with abundant plates for your dollar and great food choices. Priced right, can't beat it.

Graysburg Hills Golf Course - Fodder Stack/Chimney Top Course
"Annual Spring Trip"
Great course. Well manicured. Friendly staff. Can't beat the green fees. Always our first stop (for two days) on our spring trip. Good luck on number 4 on Chimney Top. If you ever get on the green good luck putting.
