This somewhat tricky course requires shot accuracy. The elevated greens are small, and the fairways are narrow. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, and sand bunkers have been well positioned throughout the entire course.

Not long but you must be accurate. Elevated greens are diffucult to hit on many holes. Very much a shot makers course with alot of risk reward. You feel like the course is easy but score doesnt reflect that. Enjoyed the gentle rolling hills and changes in elevations. Overall a very nice and challenging course.

Mature little-known course south of the City. Played it as reciprocal of my course. Greens were in good shape and no tricks on reading lines. Enjoyed the round.

"Enjoyable Round"
It is an average length course, but enjoyable. The fescue around the bunkers gives the course a nice look. There are some intersting holes such as one with a 2 tiered green right in front to make for a tough second shot from only around 60 yards. Some water but overall its fun and if you have the chance to play there do so.

September 2004.. Just an average course. Not taken care of like it was in the early 90's. Cartpaths nearly undriveable due to broken pavement and potholes. Several greens in poor condition. Sandtraps washedout. Overrated and Overpriced!!!!

"The New Miacomet"
Welcome to the new Miacomet!! Complete with 9 new golf holes capturing the essence of links golf. This Massachusetts island has a new name in public golf. This new layout if the wind is blowing is going to be a real challenge. The elevated tees give you a great look at fairway and positioning. The trick is to hit it there with the accuracy needed to conquer a 20 to 30 mile an hour wind. The golf staff were very professional in the running of the shop. Superb lessons provided by Mike's staff. State of the art lessons with Rob. Fantastic!! Bill Affinito's group are learning the paths and new roads that service the new course. Great job. And the new general manager, Alan Costa, fantastic, hard working, creative. The food service is top notch. come try the new course on Nantucket.
