Rough, Jul 29, 2004

I personally found the course to be rough. It is a long walk, it has lots of high grass and lots of sand. My opinion is swayed some because I played during a drought and it was a hot day and I walked the 18 holes. Amenities are few - never saw a beverage cart the whole time and I needed it. This course could grow into something nice over time. To me, I would play it if others wanted to but there are too many other good choices out there to put it on the top of my list.

Interesting newer course that will get better as the landscaping matures. Good use of elevation changes and forced carries over Sand Creek. Puzzlingly high green fees for what it offers, especially in comparison to other Colorado Springs courses.

"Not boring!"
After having played this course, I can only say, it is not boring. Holes run all directions. Course is well maintained, and well run. The people are very friendly, and treated me well beyond my expectations. I would move here tomorrow.

"Exquisite Conditioning"
I was a member at Bent Creek for ten years until moving to South Carolina. Day in and day out, compared with top caliber courses, this is probably the best conditioned course in the Mid-Atlantic area. Tees, fairways, and greens are bent grass, as are the practice tees and even one of the two practice ranges. The course is more difficult than its slope and course rating indicate, with very difficult holes at the start, especially from the back tees. It is a great course for average players from the regular men's tees, and a fantastic test for better players from the back. An under-par score from the back tees is exceptional.

"Great Course"
This is one of the funnest courses that I have ever played. The open layout and scenic views made it a spectacular experience. The work crew and the people there are the greatest. With a work crew of only 5, the course is in fabulous shape and is comparable to some of the best. The fairways are in imaculate condition.
