This eighteen hole course was designed to challenge both the low and high handicapper. The course winds through sultry southern Georgia woods. The fairways are lush and wide, and many of the tee boxes are elevated. The greens are contoured and pristine. Thirteen of the holes wander through woodlands and wetlands, while the remaining five holes are Scottish links-style. The 5,951-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 73.7 and a slope of 127.

Talk about your out of the way locations. A pleasant suprise! Hole layout and course design means alot to me. This course has got the makings of a great course in that regards. In a major metropolitan area this course would recieve great reviews. But, being out of the way, it remains a hidden gem. Play it if you have the chance.

This course has turned around magnificently in the last 4 or 5 months! Club Professional Robert Jacobus is doing an excellent job, and it shows on the golf course and in the clubhouse. He is a definite asset to Crooked Oak GOlf Club. The greens are the best I have seen, and the course as a whole is really coming around. I would recommend this course to anyone who lives in Georgia or may be travelling through the area. GREAT JOB to Robert and his staff!!!!

Bass Rocks Golf Club
"A Classic golf Course"
Bass Rocks in my opinion is an ideal kind of golf course. Every time you play is different. The winds off the ocean can be a help at times. However, other times it can play havoc with your game. The course forces you to play almost every kind of shot there is. From high flops to knock downs, it will test your game. The staff is second to none. Friendly and always willing to offer a tip or two that will help make your round more enjoyable. The members make you feel right at home. Like they have known you for years, even if you just met. In my personal opinion, every town should have a club like Bass Rocks.

Although you must golf with a member, Highlands offers a wide variety of challenges. Varying lies, fast greens, and narrow fairways makes Highlands a highly likeable course. A recent resodding of the fairways to Kentucky bluegrass has made this already aesthetic course even more beautiful.
