In the past, this club has held two PGA Tour events plus, the annual City Tournament in 1993 and 1994. One of the course's outstanding features are its consistent greens. The course's signature hole is #14, a 313-yard, par 4, featuring the famous Pete Dye railroad ties bordering a lake which is alongside a well-bunkered green. The hole has many mounds that can cause uneven lies.

Overpriced for the conditions, Apr 06, 2006 |

| Worst course conditions of any course I've ever played. We played during Masters week and paid $49. What a ripoff considering the complete lack of grass anywhere but on the greens. That being said, the layout is awesome with a nice variety of holes. This could be a really nice course if they would actually grow some grass. Perhaps a good value at $25 but certainly not $50! |

| This PB Dye course is a fair challenge. The greens are consistant and fairly speedy. The undulation of the greens combined with there speed make Northwoods a good test of short game. From the regular tees this course is very reachable Driver-pitching wedge. However, from the back the course is a good deal tougher. The rough is usually high and the secondary rough is extremely high. From the back tees hitting fairways is a must for scores under 85. Overall NorthWoods is a good golfing experience. |

A Good Public Course, Oct 13, 2004 |

| A good public play. Greens are usually in good condition, they are grainy. Course has a few holes that play side by side on the front nine. A little to much going on with all these holes beside each other. Other than that a nice layout and the only hole that isn't right in front of you is number 14. It's in front, but figure carefully your best option on this very short par 4. Number 17 has a much larger landing area than you may think, the right side is the better side to play from. |
