Agree with the others, greens are ridiculous, Sep 17, 2005 |

| Have played this course 10+ times. 18 hcp. I like the course overall, but the greens are difficult at best. When you do get to the green, if you are putting from above the hole, forget about it. Always stay below the hole and if you can get there early to get a feel for the speed on the practice green. Also, it is Oak "Hills". There are mounds in and around the edges and somtimes center of the fairway. Hitting these results in unpredictable bounces. Two shots hit a foot apart can be very different. I will continue to play this course and hope for improvement on the grens or in my game to adapt. I have been with people who score well here, but a high handicapper can get frustrated. |

| This course is fair from the Regular and Back tees. The course rating seems a bit high. The greens are hard and on the slow side. Overall, best layout in Columbia. Hardest holes are 8 and 10 where Bogey is a decent score. |

| Nice club house but not over done. Pro shop has personality problems. Nice driving range and a good course layout. Very fair with no really tricky holes that require course knowledge. Greens are seldom good and they always seem very hard. Even very good players that strike the ball near perfect have a hard time playing to these greens. Many small things like water falls etc. have not been kept up. A good general clean up and work on the greens and you can make this one to play. |

Concrete greens?, Jun 16, 2004 |

| Oak Hills is a marvelous course from tee to green, excluing the green. The greens are in perfect condition, but trying to land a high-altitude shot with a pitching wedge without having it run off the green is more difficult than a morbidly obese man trying to look at his "short-iron" without the use of a mirror. Frankly, the greens are too hard and do not reward good shots. |

No Ball Marks?, Jun 16, 2004 |

| The fairways are in excellent shape. However approach shots tend not hold the greens, even towering wedge shots fail to leave even the slightest hint of a ball mark and run uphill off the green. When the greens soften up, the course will be much more rewarding. |

| Easily the best course in Columbia. Interesting look to the holes, lots of water, not too difficult. The overall atmosphere is great too, nice clubhouse and staff, only complaint...driving range too far from the 1st tee, or clubhouse. |
