Repetitive but worth the money., Aug 25, 2004

reviewer: Cheap golfer from Nova Scotia

I thought this was a fine golf course for the price. If you don't mind the distractions of being across the highway from an airport it is a fun round. There was no one there when I played and the course was in good shape. Some of the routing could be better marked and the landing light area could be better differentiated from the rest of the course but the round was fun and only 3 3/4 hours.

"Excellent course"
This is an well-designed, well-maintained course nestled among hills and oak trees about an hour west of downtown Los Angeles. It is a Robert Trent Jones designed course, located on land that was previously Warner Ranch. Many movies were filmed on this location, and each hole is named after one of the movies filmed there. It is not long, but it is a challege. Narrow fairways, oak trees, water, fast and undulating greens. Very interesting holes and pin placements.

"A Classic golf Course"
Bass Rocks in my opinion is an ideal kind of golf course. Every time you play is different. The winds off the ocean can be a help at times. However, other times it can play havoc with your game. The course forces you to play almost every kind of shot there is. From high flops to knock downs, it will test your game. The staff is second to none. Friendly and always willing to offer a tip or two that will help make your round more enjoyable. The members make you feel right at home. Like they have known you for years, even if you just met. In my personal opinion, every town should have a club like Bass Rocks.

Meadow Park Golf Course - Meadow Park Course
"Well Maintained"
This heavily-used public course is in very good condition all year thanks to a dedicated grounds crew. Good drainage makes it playable in the winter, too.
