Water hazards (two lakes) come into play on three holes. The signature hole is #9, a 303-yard, par 4, featuring a beautiful, scenic view of the surrounding countryside. The senior rate is only good Monday through Friday. Carts are mandatory on the weekends until 1 PM.

GREAT COURSE, Jul 08, 2006

this is a beatifully designed course cut from the rolling hills of honey creek neighborhood. The short length can be deceiving as every hole requires precise shot making. the bunkers are perfectly placed and can cost even the best golfer a chance at beaking par. also the condition of this course is second to none and the greens putt truer than any other course i have played in the state. Also, many holes are lined by out of bounds and the narrow hilly fairways create tough situations. Basically i am recommending for anyone who loves golf to play this AMAZING golf course.

Honey Creek is a course that is not that hard but you have to think of all the factors that come into play. The holes are shorter than regular courses but their greens are the fastest they have ever been. So watch out they are a killer.

Chalet Hills Golf Club
"Challenging but Fair"
If you play the course right you will have to use every club in your bag. Variety of holes, no two are alike. Trees, bunkers, water, doglegs and hills, this course has it all. Beginners with a wild driver will have some trouble but will not have to hit over obstacles except for two greens surrounded by water. Staff is great and course is getting in better shape each year.

I found this course and county club to be quite exciting. The main reason for this was because of one stand out individual. This man was Brad Irle, he introduced me to the realm that is Danville Country Club. Never before have I ever fathomed in any of my wildest, most exotic dreams to see such a plethora of food placed before me. After an enivorating and exciting round Brad and I stopped into the 19th whole to wet our whistles with a tasty tripple Gin and Tonic. I thank you Danville for all the memories I have, and the future visits that I look forward to.

Pennrose Park Country Club
"A Tiny Gem for Donald Ross"
Donald Ross designed this 9-hole jewel in the 1920's. It has several tough holes and a number of beauties. Ross used the rolling central NC terrain nicely on this course.

Great Eagle Golf Club
"Unreal Value"
The course itself is very nice looking and very challenging. The downside is that it is set inside a big RV/mobile home park. The upside of that is that it is very inexpesive. You would pay three or four times more to play this course in another setting. Great deal
