This is the home course for the Northern California PGA. The course sits above the central valley fog belt and beneath the snow-covered Sierras, providing for many spectacular views. The course features eighteen "postcard" holes protected by more than 100 old-style traditional-styled sand bunkers. However, the large landing areas in the fairways are quite generous. This course offers two signature holes. Hole #2, a 433-tard, par 4, wraps itself around a natural water hazard on the right side of the fairway. Hole #14, a 245-yard, par 3, is reminiscent of the famous Redan hole at the North Berwick Course in Scotland. This is truly a fine traditional course that is fair, challenging, and a whole lot of fun to play.

"Great Bay Side Holes, and Tough"
Play this in the wind and you'll find your handicap is a little too low. Northshore is a wonderful course with great bay views on the 4 bayside holes. And Don't miss the gator on hole 12, the cormorants on number 3, or all the other birds during the migratory months. In winter the rye overseed makes Northshore one of the best courses in all of South Texas.

A tremendous couse in a beautiful mountain setting, especially in September and October when in full fall foliage, the afternoon temperatures in the low 70's and the skies so blue the horizon lines become razor sharp. The back nine challange you with mountain streams, blind doglegs, an occasional buck jumping from a creek bed and or lofty tee boxes daring you to choose a loftier iron for dropping it between the aspens and the traps.... Not too many courses in the world offer better views, thinner air for longer drives, or nicer people to pamper your needs. July through mid October is prime... take plenty of time and the closest of friends, I guarantee you a memorable experiance and a challanging round!
