This course features narrow fairways that are tree lined, and water hazards coming into play on seven holes. "Golf Digest" nominated this course as one of the "Best New Public Courses" for 1993. The front nine fairways are more narrow than the back nine's because there are more homes lining them. But in time, with the additional homes being developed, the back nine will eventually be as narrow as the front nine. The greens are average-sized and putt true. Water hazards (ponds, lakes and streams) come into play on twelve holes. The most difficult hole is #5, a 562-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot over water and around a sharp dogleg left turn with out-of-bounds stakes on the left, then an approach shot over water to the green.

Great Course for the $$$, Aug 04, 2004

Now this isn't a tour caliber course or anything, but for a reasonable green fee ($20-$30), this is one of the best courses for the $$ that i've ever played. And the staff is very kind and courteous, definitely worth checking out.

Good Greens, Jul 04, 2004
reviewer: Mark VanBlaricom from Cordova, TN USA
Cordova Has a great practice facility even without a driving range. The greens on this course are outstanding. One of the weaknesses is the distance. I Played with a guy that had a hole-in-one from the back tees. I would defiantly recommend this course to a friend.

Great Narrow Course, May 18, 2004
reviewer: Ewan Gatherer from Cordova, TN
Cordova Country Club is a great little course. Nice and tight fairways, with a premium on accuracy. Driver is only needed on a handful of holes, unless your Mr Accuracy!

The only drawback is if you miss the fairway, you are in for a tough hole - on every hole. Lesson - dont miss the fairway!

Great staff and great regulars.
