Forest Hills Golf Course

This course has tight tree-lined fairways, small greens and a few hills that can cause uneven lies. The most demanding hole is #16, a 376-yard, par 4, which calls for an approach shot over a pond to an elevated green. There are out-of-bounds stakes lining two holes.

Very Satisfied, Jun 05, 2009 |

| I have played this a number of times in both rain and shine and have never been treated so well by the staff and managers. I am always greeted both entering and leaving the course. The layout is spectacular and most of the holes are very challenging with respect to the trees and sand trap layout. I would recommend this to any golfer of any experience level. I would like to see more coupons online for this course as the economy has made it more difficult for me to play 2 times a week out there and maybe the fact that I pay so much for child support. |

Old Course Charm, Excellent Layout., Jun 24, 2007 |

| 1-3 will help you "warm-up", with 2 being a 5 par over water. 4-5-6 will eat you alive with either accuracy, draw drive, or shear length. 7-8 let you catch your breath, and undulated 9 is rated hardest on the front 9. 10 is straight away with the green on the edge of OB or a ravine to chip up. 11 a 3 par over water, with a 2 tiered green. 12-13-14 fairly easy, cause trouble is about to come. 15 is a long par 5 and 16... is very demanding, but easier than it was 20 years ago. 17 is a long par 3 over water, but very scorable with a back stop green. 18... par 5 that can be birdied if you can draw a drive and hold a long iron. I've played hundreds of courses, but Forest Hills has a magic about it that can't be defined. |

Beautiful Golf, Jun 05, 2004 |

| This course can be played every day and not get boring. It is in beautiful shape and offers a variety of interesting holes. Better make birdies early on the front to make up for bogies on the tough 4,5,6 and 9th holes. The back side ephasizes accuracy more than length with water, mature trees, and out of bounds lurking on almost every hole. Hilly terain with several elevated tees and a couple blind tee shots. Also, this course has excellent practice facilities including a huge chipping and putting green and improved driving range. Everything a public golf course should be. Reserving the 5 star rating for pro caliber courses. |
