This course, located in a valley, is surrounded by scenic mountains. The fairways are narrow and tree lined, and the small greens are medium speed. Water hazards (a pond and a creek) come into play on six holes. The terrain is hilly, so expect many uneven lies. The signature hole is #7, a 503-yard, par 5, requiring a shot over a ravine and a creek in order to get to the green. This club has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" recognized it in their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America."

Golfable Golf Quote of the Day:
" A game in which you claim the privileges of age, and retain the playthings of childhood. -- Author Unknown, plagiarized from the Samuel Johnson quotation "It is a hopeless endeavour to unite the contrarieties of spring and winter; it is unjust to claim the priveleges of age, and retain the play-things of childhood." (Thank you, Frank Lynch. "
