Nice small town course, Sep 24, 2005

An enjoyable golf course that requires smart course management. The course lay out has easy going front nine, but the back nine tightens up quit a bit. The staff is friendly & very helpful.

Argyle Country Club
"Hidden Gem"
Argyle Country Club is a little hidden gem that offers some challenging holes with a very lovely setting. The course starts off with a relatively easy par four but then you are faced with back to back par fives - never easy in the early part of a round! The sixth hole - the number one handicap - is deceptively challenging as is the par 3 seventh hole. Number nine is a nice front finishing hole. The back nine is quite beautiful with the number 12 par 5 offering a great view. Number 16 is a challenging dog leg leading to a stunning number 17 par 3, the "signature" hole. 18 is a great finishing hole leading to the clubhouse. Argyle is extremely affordable compared to other courses in the area. And, it never feels "stuffy." Enjoy!
