This course is rated as one of the top 100 golf courses in the United States. The club hosts the PGA Tour's Greater Hartford Open. This beautiful course has undulating terrain and ponds come into play on several occasions. There are numerous bunkers scattered throughout its stadium-designed layout. The course was first redesigned by Orrin Smith in 1951, then again by Pete Dye in 1984, and Bobby Weed added eleven new holes and did a third redesign in 1991. "Golf Digest" rated it as the 10th "Best in State" course for 1997-98.

|This really is a pro course. I am 13 years old. On some thursdays I go in 8 in the morning for kids golf for $5. There is only three of those days. It is like $150 for anyone else and you have to be a member. It is extremely challenging but still try to go.|
